| I didnt reuse the filter or orings because I wanted to recrimp the cover to the bowl before I powder coated it. If you crimp the cover after you powder coat, the powder coat will get all smashed. If you reassemble it before you powder coat it, you will ruin the orings and the filter when you cure the powder. Also, the filter will be soaked with ps fluid. the fluid will smoke like a bitch when curing and possible ruin your finish. I've noticed on some pieces that I did when i first started powder coating; that the oil fumes will leave a rainbow film on the finish. I wasn't able to get it off. Thats why I just decided to go with an external filter. When I took the cover off, I used a big thick headed flat screwdriver and just pryed the crimped areas of the cover up. To get the filter out, just hit the reservoir really hard upside down a few times and it will knock itself loose and start to slide out. Then you can just grab it and pull it out.
